Food and Beverage Attendant

Applications are now being sought for Food and Beverage Attendants to work in our 4-Star Boutique Hotel and Spa on Mount Buller for the 2024 Ski Season.

We are looking to fill various roles in our Signature Restaurant, Loft Bar and Pizzeria. The ideal candidates will have a minimum of 2-years’ hospitality experience in a similar role. As a front-line representative of the hotel, this role requires a polite and pleasant manner, immaculate presentation, and an eye for detail is essential along with a passion for providing excellent customer service and exceeding guests' expectations. We require team players who are hardworking, reliable and true food and beverage professionals. You must be prepared to work a six-day week throughout the season and always maintain a sunny disposition.

What will I be doing?

As a Food and Beverage Attendant, you will complete various tasks as directed by the Food and Beverage Manager/Supervisor in relation to the day-to-day operation of all food and beverage outlets within the hotel to deliver an excellent guest experience. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards;

• Assist with the day-to-day operation of The Loft Bar, Signature Restaurant and Room Service
• Maintain exceptional levels of customer service
• Operation of POS system
• Monitoring the service and rotation of food to ensure the highest quality of product
• Ensure service and preparation areas are hygienic, tidy and organised at all times
• Following food safety guidelines at all times when serving/handling food
• Engage in communication meetings and follow the end of shift handover procedure
• Maintain stock levels in bar and fridges
• Assist other departments wherever necessary or as directed and maintain good working relationships
• Comply with hotel security, fire regulations, liquor compliance and all health and safety legislation

What are we looking for?

To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills and values that follow;

• Hospitality qualification or experience in a similar role
• Passion for delivering exceptional levels of customer service
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• POS Experience
• Coffee/barista experience
• Knowledge of wine and cocktails
• Basic food preparation skills
• Resilience and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Problem-solving skills
• Excellent grooming standards
• Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations
• Ability to work individually and in a team
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including split shifts
• Current RSA certification

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions;

• Industry relevant Certificate or Diploma qualification
• Extensive experience in food and beverage operations in a 4-5 star hotel
• Food Safety Handlers certificate
• RSA
• Australian resident or must have a current working visa for Australia
• Seasonal Work- Available from June 2024 to the end of September 2024.
