In winter the North side of the mountain is the place to ski in the sun, and in summer it transforms into the home of all Mt Buller’s gravity mountain bike action!
19 – 20 January sees the biggest weekend in gravity riding yet – and that means everyone’s a winner.
Across two days we’ll see elite mountain bike racing in the Vic DH Series, the Northside Express chairlift operating for bikes and sightseers and Spurs Café open and serving up tasty treats.
Looks like it going to be BIG, so get organised now. Head here for all our ccommodation listings.
The VDHS hits Mt Buller for two days of action-packed, adrenalin-filled downhill racing action.
Held on the world class ‘International’ trail, this is an awesome spectator event, and there are numerous sites along the course offering an ideal vantage point to watch an elite field of riders battle it out.
Who’s ready to feel the stoke? The Northside Express chairlift is set to run 19 – 20 January, in conjunction with the Vic Downhill Series. Gravity riders - this is one of only two times the chair will operate this season, so don’t miss out, get up here now, and get riding!
But you don’t need a bike to get the good views – the chairlift is also open for sightseers keen to get a bird’s eye view of proceedings. Take a lap on the lift and enjoy the best views of the racing action, set against the backdrop of the spectacular views of the High Country.
You’ve finished riding and you’re hungry. Or thirsty. Or both. The good news is that Spurs Cafe is open across the VDHS weekend, serving up snags and more on the BBQ, and cool drinks and coffees for those needing refreshment.
